Galileos CBCT Three-Dimensiional Imaging
Galileos 3-D X-Ray System
There are many times that more information is needed than conventional x-rays can provide. Two-dimensional radiographs unfortunately often cannot tell us enough information about pathology or implant placement.
At Morrison Dental Group we have invested in the latest imaging technology that can be used by dentists and physicians in the Williamsburg area. Galileos Cone Beam Computed Technology (CBCT) allows 3-Dimensional imaging of the head and neck region. Galileos takes only 14 seconds in an open, stand up environment. It is a low radiation exposure to the patient, equivalent to 2-3 dental panorex x-rays. Compared to conventional medical CT images this is up to 1/50th the radiation exposure!

CRANIAL FACIAL IMAGING CENTER (CFIC):
Our CBCT system is located in our Cranial Facial Imaging Center-CFIC, adjacent to the Morrison Dental Group’s Norge office. It was founded in 2006 by Dr. Morrison and Dr. Murphy to provide health professionals in the greater Williamsburg area with Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) or 3D imaging of the head and neck including the sinuses.

CEREC
CEREC System
CEREC - Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic by Sirona allows the fabrication of all ceramic dental restorations in ONE VISIT. Most dental prosthetic (crown) methods require more than one visit to the dentist, using up your valuable time.
The strong ceramic materials used in CEREC restore your teeth to their natural beauty, strength and function. CEREC materials match the physical properties of the natural tooth more closely than metal crowns. Also, the crowns are bonded to your teeth, so the dentist can save as much healthy tooth structure as possible while providing you with a dental restoration that strengthens your tooth.
The dentists at Morrison Dental Group have been highly trained in the use of CEREC technology so that they may deliver to you the finest restorations possible. This system allows our dentists to control every step of the preparation and fabrication of your crown without sending it out to a dental laboratory.
First developed in 1980, the first patient was treated in with CEREC in 1985. At Morrison Dental Group we have been providing high quality CEREC restorations since 2007, and to date have completed over 1,000 CEREC crowns for our patients.
